To make matters worse, I get a call from the company that I have my house alarm for on Friday morning calling to tell me my alarm had gone off around 8:45 that morning. What?! At first, I didn't worry and thought my fat cat had knocked something over that triggered the alarm. To make a long story short, Kevin got home that afternoon to load up for the beach and we discovered someone really did try to break in. Two of our doors had pry marks around the locks, and there was a smudged hand print on the window. We talked with the security company and they said that the window is what set the alarm off. I guess they tried the two doors and couldn't get in, so they resorted to the window. When it opened the alarm went off and they ran. They didn't get in, but it's enough to scare the mess out of me!!
All that to say, I was a little bummed out on the way to the beach. Just too much going on in my life and Kevin and I have been slightly overwhelmed (Prayer for peace and direction would be much appreciated). Well, on the way down to the beach, it starts raining. Then, out of nowhere, I look over to see a beautiful rainbow in the sky! Not only was it one rainbow, but TWO!!! You can barely see the 2nd one in the picture below, but I promise it's there! Isn't God just wonderful?! He sends us reminders of His love and faithfulness at just the right time! It certainly made me smile! Take a look!
Now for a little pregnancy photo session on the beach. Here I am at 30 weeks and 2 days! Enjoy!
***NOTE***: These last two pictures are just for memory sake so I can look back at them and remember my first pregnancy!
A picture of me in my swimsuit (gag!!) and my sweet sister relaxing on the beach!

A belly picture in my swimsuit...can't believe I am posting this!!!!

Well, that's our vacation in a nutshell! Hope everyone enjoys the new pictures! I'm trying REALLY hard to be a good blogger to keep everyone updated and have it for my memory in the future. Everyone have a great week! God bless and remember.....God always had a rainbow in store for you after the rain! =)

Hi Heather - this is Kiera (Hamilton). Not sure if you remember me or not. Your pictures are precious of your pregnancy! I wish all the best for you and your growing family!
P.S. - As far as a recommendation for a doctor in your area, I used Dr. Shalabi at Pediatrics 459 for years until about a year ago. He is located off Exit 6 off 459 in Bessemer/McCalla area. I now use Dr. Stephen Blair at Redmont Pediatrics at St. Vincent's. I hope this helps a little. Good luck!!
Love the pics! Your mom is a great photographer! We need to get together like NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey Heather! This is Ashley Burkhalter. I love your beach pics and I'm glad you had a relaxing time - it really sounds like you needed it!
We use Dr. Anderson at Greenvale Pediatrics in Hoover. I know it isn't exactly in the Bessemer/McCalla area but I couldn't find anywhere around that area that had a lot of recommendations. I had a TON of recommendations for Greenvale period so I don't think you could go wrong with any of them there. I know the Lindseys and the Drew's use a dr. there that they love also. I've had to see 2 other dr's when Breanna has been sick and I have been very pleased with them as well. Anyway, if you want any more info on Greenvale, or Dr. Anderson just let me know!
Hope you have a good week :)
Ok, so mom took the photos, but the one of mom and her two girls didn't make the cut? Not fair!
Love,
Mom
