The Lone Snow Day Picture

So....remember the snow we had like 3 weeks ago on a Friday? Well, yeah.....I have just one picture from that day. See below.

The picture above is the only reason I don't have more pictures. I got off work that day around 1:30 to try and make it home before the weather got too bad. Kevin was off work that day (when it snows, there's not much construction to be done) so he was at home with Addison. I had this great little plan to run outside with Addison when I got home and take her picture in her first real snow. I was so excited! I just knew it would make a cute picture! Well.....that never happened. I was driving home in the snow and we all know that NO ONE knows how to drive when it snows in the south! There were wrecks EVERYWHERE! I was driving along minding my own business when all of a sudden I see a lot of red brake lights ahead of me. I start slowing down, but end up having to stop pretty abruptly to avoid hitting the car in front of me. Apparently, there was a wreck up ahead that was causing traffic to back up. Well, the nice little man behind me wasn't able to stop as quickly as me. I was so worried about avoiding the car in front of me, that I didn't even think about the cars behind me. All of a sudden.......WAMMM!!! I got rear ended and it scared me to death! I pulled off the side of the interstate on the side of the median and I heard something dragging the ground. Uh-oh....something's not right! I got out of my car because a nice young man was coming up to check on me (he saw the incident happen) and when I got out (in the snow!!!) I noticed my bumper was hanging off. Bummer. As I was outiside my car, another van came sliding into the median and got stuck right beside us. I was so afraid I was going to get hit by a car! I jumped back in my car and waited for the police to come. Long story short, the police got there, took our information, and I asked him just to rip my bumper the rest of the way off so I could drive on home. He nicely obliged and I went home. Needless to say, I was all frazzled and forgot to take Addison's picture. =( So...there's my snow story for the day. However, no one was hurt and my car got fixed at no cost to me and looks great! Woohoo!
