Yes....it's true. My sweet girl was diagnosed with the flu. I was almost positive she had it back around New Year's because of the high fever (for 7 days!), decreased appetite, and just plain irritability. But she was tested twice during that time and they were both negative (we did end up with an ear infection though). Fast forward to this Thursday and she started running fever and not eating well again. Thursday night she woke up screaming unconsolably. I knew something was bothering her, but I just assumed it was her ears. So, I left work early and took my poor baby to the doctor AGAIN (5th sick visit since November) yesterday. They did a rapid flu and sure enough......she has Type B influenza. She's just so pitiful when she is sick! My heart breaks for her! Today has been a fairly good day as far as symptoms go, but just pray she makes a complete recovery soon!
