So.....my friend Mary posted on our crazy day yesterday, but I'd like to shed more light on what went down! As you all know, I work at night for 7 days, and then I'm off for 7 days. So, after the last night of working we try really hard to stay awake so when can get back on a normal schedule of sleeping at night. Well, Mary and I have tried every possible way to make this happen. We started out leaving work and "napping" for 3 or 4 hrs and then waking up to meet each other for a movie. Well, let's just face it. After working all night no one wants to sleep for 3 hrs then get right back up. So....that option was no good. So Mary and I were at work Sunday night and decided to try a new thing. Sooooo, we went home Monday morning just long enough to freshen up and then decided to meet back at 9am in Hoover for a day of galavanting. The day started out beautifully! We were freshened up and ready to go! We went to 280 first for some good bargain shopping at Sharper Image (they're going out of business) and surprisingly enough bought NOTHING! I was so proud of myself! We also made stops at Target, Swoozies, White House/Black Market, Old Navy, and Johnny Rocket's for lunch. Then we worked our way over to Hoover for more shopping! We hit Goody's (that store is closing) and found mass chaos inside!! Let me just tell you that after being up for 20 hours, browsing through disorganized piles of clothes is just NOT want I want to do! So we left and went to Lifeway, Plato's Closet, and Toys R Us! Boy was Toys R Us fun!!! I haven't been in that store in FOREVER! We were actually looking for a present for Mary's niece, but got very sidetracked playing! We traveled down memory lane playing with toys we had as children. I'm sure people thought we were crazy, but at this point....WE WERE!! The day wrapped up with a trip to Ben and Jerry's, Wrapsody, and Wally World. By the time we hit Wal-Mart we were completely spent! We were delirious and laughing hysterically at nonsense stuff! Who knew Wal-Mart could be so fun!? Mary was so wiped out she had to "pop a squat" on some empty shelves for a little minute. Keep in mind this was hour 24 and I was starting to think we may not make it home in one piece! Your mind starts to shut down we couldn't even think straight! Well, needless to say, I did make it home. I went to bed at 8 because I couldn't even carry on a legitimate convo with my husband (just ask him!!). That is why it is currently 7:30 am and I've already been up for 2 hours! So...a big kudos to Mary for keeping me awake all day. Next time we'll take fun pictures too!! Well, I think that's enough rambling for the day, but stayed tuned for more of my adventures! This weekend is the beach trip and there will definitely be pictures!!!

I totally stayed up until 9:30. Can you believe that!?! Kent had to wake me up this morning so that we could take my car to get the AC fixed, and he could bring me back home before he went to work. Then went back to sleep until 11. Good times!!!
