Back from Paradise!

Hey guys! I'm back from the beach and boy was it blissful! The weather was perfect (minus the lovebugs EVERYWHERE!). I sat on the beach like a total bum and read two books in two days! I really enjoyed hanging out with the girls from work....they are such a blessing and SOOO much fun! We stayed on the 19th floor at The Lighthouse in Gulf Shores (in the penthouse, nonetheless!). The first morning, our "house mother" Frieda offered to cook a nice breakfast for us. Well....everyone knows I like my sleep. I woke up at about 6:45 to the fire alarm going off and got REALLY scared! I jumped out of bed and my first thought was, "OMG......19 flights of stairs is A LOT to climb down!" Come to find out, the smoke alarm was very close to the stove and it went off about every five minutes while Frieda cooked! Funny stuff.

I really enjoyed the time away and to myself, but I was glad to get back home to the hubby (love you babe! Happy "Six-month-iversary" today!!) And I said I would post pics when I got back, but I only took two. Count 'em....one....two. With 4 other girls taking pics, I figured I could bum some from them! Hope you enjoyed the pictures.....I know I enjoyed the trip!!! We also had a mad day of shoppin at the outlets, and boy did I get some good deals! I got a dress from Tommy Hilfiger for $16 and we visited the Coach outlet! They had some killer deals!! All the purses were marked down because it was an outlet, then there was an extra 20-40% off, AND it you gave $1 to Breast Cancer Research, you got an additional 25% off! Talk about a deal!!! Can't beat it with a stick! So....I got me a lovely new purse for just about nothing! (Okay, well, it cost something, but it was definately a bargain!!!) Woo-hoo!!!

On a serious note, I'm still fighting my sinus issues...the meds don't seem to be working and I may end up going back to the doctor. Also, please be in prayer for my sister-in-law's family. Kevin's sister's father-in-law passed away Saturday from stomach cancer. Please be in prayer for his family as they face this tough time in their lives. Pray that God will give them strength to face the days ahead. Thanks a bunch!
