Can I just tell you people that I LOVE my husband!? He is precious and I totally don't deserve someone as great as him! As most of you know, we've been married for almost 6 months and it has been wonderful! Every month on the 29th (since we've been married in March), we have a steak dinner at home and just enjoy each other's company. We haven't missed one yet. Well, in September we have the big 6-month mark and my hubby got me a little something he knows I've been wanting. Are you wondering what it is?? Well....he bought me the new Ipod touch!!! I love it (actually listening to it as I sit here and type!)!! He got it for me a little early because I'm taking a beach trip with my girls from work next week and well, let's face it......everyone needs an Ipod at the beach!! We always go galavanting on the Friday that I'm off (every other week) and that is really "our day" to go and just enjoy each other's company all day long. Last Friday, we went and got my Ipod and then he got my car washed and cleaned for me. It's all shiny now!! Then, that night we went to Carrabba's (yummy!!) for my dad's birthday and had a WONDERFUL time with my parents and my sister and her boyfriend. I have learned never to take this time for granted. I get really sad sometimes that I work every other weekend and he works 4 days on my off weeks. So, really we get good quality time about 6 days a month (the Fri, Sat, and Sun that I'm off work). I love married life, and I truly treasure this time I spend with Kevin. He means the world to me and I am so blessed to have a good Christian man as my husband!
We also had a great time Saturday night watching Bama play! I love football and the fall! The weather when I was driving to work tonight was absolutely fantastic!! I love this time of year....it might just be my favorite season!!!
Did I mention I'm excited about going to the beach?! I LOVE my girls at work and can't wait to spend time with them away from work. I guess there's just something to be said about the bond between the people I work with. Due to all the HIPPA privacy laws, it's hard to vent about work to everyone. The girls that work with me see the things I see and experience the ups and downs of my job right along with me. We know how each other feels in situations and we just "get it". I work with the best group of people anyone could ask for. The few 10 or so I work with on a consistent basis are all Christians and I love to just sit and chat with them about life (and we get to do that being that we work at night and normal people, like patients, usually sleep at night). So....I'm really excited about going to the beach with "my girls" and just relaxing with them and not worrying about work!!!! I'll post all about it when I come back!!
And FYI, Kevin and I started our small group last week and really enjoyed it. We just had a little "get to know each other" session, but it was just refreshing to be around other young married Christian couples. It's on Tuesday nights, so we get to go tonight and I'm excited!! I pray that God shows Himself to us and helps us grow closer together!

so I read your blog last night but I wanted to leave you a comment and got ADD. ha.. so you are a very sweet wifey. I'm gald you found your soul mate. I hope he reads this cuz he would smile. I believe marriage is a gift from God and you are soo blessed you have recieved this.:) And A christian one at that! AND I want a touch now!! maybe christmas.. or next year lol.
i didn't know it was your anniversary...you should have brought that up! :) and given your husband props for the gift...he did good! have a great time at the beach ~ wish i was going.
